If you work in a cubicle office, you are probably looking for ways to personalize your cubicle. The problem is that you may have to be careful with what you do, depending on your office's rules, since some offices have rules about what you can and can't do. But, even within those rules, there are things that you can do that will let you personalize your cubicle and still not be in violation of any rules.
Office Chair
You may not think that your office chair is a good way to personalize or decorate your cubicle, but you would be wrong. There are several different ways that you can use your office chair to personalize your office. One is that you can buy your own and bring it into the office. Have you always wanted to have the fancy padded desk chair with the handles like all the executives have? You could bring that into your cubicle and sit in style. If you are limited as to what you can have as a decoration, then you can get the chair in different colors, even if it's only brown or gray. That way you will still stay within your office's culture, and yet still remain yourself.
Desk Accessories
There are various things that you have to have on your desk, just so that you can get work done. Those include things like boxes, pencil and pen holders, and staplers. There are a wide variety of office supplies and desk accessories that you can use to give your cubicle a little flair and make your work day a little lighter. The nice thing is that they are unobtrusive, useful, and not toys, which some offices may have rules against. On top of desk accessories, you could also do something like a decorated bulletin board that will let you pin important notes to while still being just a little individual.
Working in an environment where you are sitting in a cubicle that looks like everyone else's cubicle may make you feel stressed. There are ways that you can decorate or individualize your cubicle. Even if your office has rules as to what you can have in your cubicle or on your desk, there are still ways that you can add in your own flair without violating any rules. Since you spend so many hours a week at work, you want to make sure that you are comfortable.
